Protecting Forestville and the surrounding area since 1938



The Forestville Fire Protection District is an independent special fire district established by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors and governed by an elected five-person Board of Directors.

The District is located in the unincorporated area of western Sonoma County California, along the lower Russian River, and encompasses approximately 25 square miles and serves a population of more than 8,500 citizens. District personnel and equipment respond to nearly 700 calls for service each year from one fire station located in the town of Forestville.
